Rebecca Bowman was born March 25, 1745 in Cedar Creek, Frederick Co. Va. the daughter of George Bowman and Mary
Hite.
She was born and raised in this two story stone house that still stands today in almost perfect condition.
She was the sister of the very famous Bowman Brothers who fought and settled most of Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio
and Illinois: Col. John Jacob Bowmam, Col. Abraham Bowman, Maj. Joseph Bowman,
and Capt. Isaac Bowman.
Rebecca married George Brinker the oldest son of Hans Hendrich Brinker and Anna
Catherine Kreutzberger on November 7, 1768 at Opequon Creek, Orange Co. Va.
On January 26, 1831 Rebecca Bowman Brinker died in Frederick Co. Va.
